Job summary

Utilities One in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a Manager of Underground Construction to oversee in-house drilling operations across the region. You will lead field crews, ensure safety and quality, conduct inspections, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires extensive travel (at least 80% within region), strong leadership, ability to read drawings, and coordination with directors and project managers. A CDL and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in underground drilling/construction with leadership.
• Knowledge of HDD, potholing, utility locating, restoration.
• Experience leading training and mentoring crews.
• Ability to read construction drawings and maps.
• Willingness to travel across multiple states; OSHA 10/30, NCCER preferred.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underground drilling to meet safety and quality standards.
• Lead on-site training and onboarding for crews.
• Enforce safety compliance and conduct site inspections.
• Review bore logs and path integrity to meet client specs.
• Coordinate resources with Regional Directors and Foremen.
• Document inspections and report to leadership.
• Collaborate to align objectives and drive improvements.
