Job summary

TAK Broadband is seeking an experienced Underground Construction Laborer in De Pere, WI to install, repair and test fiber networks and related components. The role involves splicing loose tube and ribbon fiber, testing systems, and connecting networks for facilities while troubleshooting issues.

The position is full-time with pay and benefits, and requires ability to operate various equipment, travel up to 50%, and work flexible hours including evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Underground and/or aerial construction experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn to operate various utility vehicles and equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% with possible overnight stays.
• Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends.
• Ability to multitask and switch between tasks without interruption.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain aerial and underground telecommunications cabling.
• Assist in all phases of underground construction including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of construction materials and equipment.
• Manage the use and care of maintenance equipment including power equipment, trucks, hand tools, and ladders.
• Operate and work around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Maintain safe working habits and work conditions according to regulations and company policies.
• Follows safety standards throughout processes.
• Sets up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers.

We are seeking an experienced Underground Construction Laborer to join our team in De Pere, WI. In this role you will complete installation, repair and testing of fiber and the different components, splice loose tube and ribbon fiber in compliance with modern standards and connect and configure fiber optic networks for facilities while troubleshooting problems.

The Role
