JOB DESCRIPTION

The Laborer is part of our outside plant division, supervised by the Construction Foreman. The role involves ensuring accuracy in tasks and adhering to all safety, quality, and production policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare construction sites by cleaning and eliminating hazards.
2. Assist crew members with construction tasks as needed.
3. Operate compressors and missiles.
4. Install pedestals and vaults.
5. Safely load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
6. Dig trenches and handle earth removal, filling, or compaction.
7. Mix compounds for surface covering or cleaning.
8. Assist with conduit and cable handling and placement.
9. Maintain equipment properly.
10. Perform site cleanup.
11. Complete all required documentation accurately.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
13. Always comply with safety standards and procedures when operating equipment, following Pramira’s safety protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a health card.
• Self-motivated with the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to interact cooperatively with coworkers.
• Physical ability to exert heavy effort, lift heavy objects, kneel, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl.
• Frequent use of hand tools and pneumatic tools (tampers, compactors, jackhammers, chipping hammers).
• Ability to assist in installing conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes, and cables.
• Must pass drug testing and background checks.
