Job summary

Delve Underground in New York is offering a Civil Engineer Intern Co-Op for spring or summer 2027 to support tunnel and underground facilities for water, wastewater, and transit infrastructure projects. This role provides an opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented, team-focused student to contribute to challenging underground engineering tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with structural design calculations, contract drawings, technical memos, and coordination with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Qualifications

Must be a currently enrolled college student pursuing Civil Engineering.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities for a multi-disciplinary team.
Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with structural design calculations for tunnels, shafts, foundations, and other underground structures.
Support development of contract drawings and technical specifications.
Prepare technical memos and supporting design documentation.
Collaborate with civil, geotechnical, and hydraulics engineers on multi-disciplinary problems.
Coordinate with AutoCAD technicians for plans, sections, and details.
Communicate effectively with designers and construction management staff.
Contribute to both office and field assignments.
