The Soil, Forage and Water Testing Lab at Auburn University invites a student employee to assist with soil laboratory testing, soil processing, and administrative tasks. This position supports research staff and helps maintain equipment and daily operations on site.

As an enrolled student, you will gain hands-on experience in a university lab while performing reception duties and assisting with package deliveries as needed.

Overview

The Soil, Forage and Water Testing Lab at Auburn University serves the farming communities of Alabama through testing and analysis of a variety of agricultural materials, including soil, water, plant tissue, poultry litter, forages and feeds. The student employee in this position will assist with soil laboratory testing, soil processing, perform administrative/clerical duties, and complete other assignments as requested.

Responsibilities

The individual in this position will:

• -Assist Division of Research staff with research lab maintenance. This includes cleaning instrumentation, checking equipment for proper function, and various other support duties.
• -Assist staff with regular laboratory procedures including soil processing and other lab functions.
• -Perform administrative and clerical duties.
• -Fill support role at the reception desk to accept package deliveries.
