The Tsotakos Lab at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking up to two undergraduate students for research positions beginning immediately. Projects focus on the role of non-coding RNAs in chronic kidney disease, with opportunities for student-initiated work. Students will report progress directly to Dr.

Tsotakos. Duties include general lab maintenance, preparation of materials, cell culture management, and conducting routine Biochemistry and Molecular Biology experiments, followed by data analysis.

Competenze

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student in biology or related field.
• Completion of BIOL 230W; BIOL 322 preferred.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Python and/or R is beneficial.

Mansioni

• General lab maintenance.
• Prepare materials for experiments.
• Maintain mammalian cell culture.
• Implement routine Biochemistry and Molecular Biology experiments (e.g., Western blotting, cloning, qPCR).
• Data analysis.
