Job summary

The University of Rochester's Laboratory for Laser Energetics seeks a highly organized individual to coordinate the LLE Undergraduate Research Program and expand workforce-development initiatives. • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Advanced degree preferred (STEM or related field a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination and day-to-day management of the LLE Undergraduate Research Program.
• Review and organize student applications; coordinate matching with mentors.
• Maintain and continuously improve application systems, databases, and participant records.
• Track program participation, outcomes, alumni engagement, and workforce-development metrics.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for undergraduate participants, ensuring a smooth program experience.
• Coordinate onboarding and summer housing logistics with UR, HR, and internal teams.
• Support hiring, payroll, and administrative processes with LLE HR.
• Plan seminars, workshops, travel, and external visits; foster an inclusive environment.
• Assist in reporting, communications, and expansion of educational partnerships and programs.
