Penn State is seeking a Career Services Specialist- Advanced Professional to design, deliver, and evaluate undergraduate research engagement programs for Eberly College of Science students. You will advise students on research opportunities, assist with summer programs, and help prepare them for graduate education and research careers.

The role involves teaching SC 100, developing workshops, coordinating marketing, and collaborating with campus partners to expand access to research experiences.

Formación

• Preferred Qualifications include experience with undergraduate students in advising, mentoring, research, or related settings.
• Experience coordinating or supporting undergraduate research programs.
• Knowledge of undergraduate research opportunities and pathways to graduate education.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, coordinate, and assess undergraduate research programs and initiatives (virtual, hybrid, and in-person).
• Coordinate the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program, including recruitment, logistics, and assessment.
• Meet individually with students to discuss research interests and opportunities at Penn State and beyond.
• Develop and deliver workshops, presentations, and programming on undergraduate research engagement and graduate preparation.
• Serve as a guest lecturer and teach SC 100: Introduction to Research, including mentoring and assessment.
• Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to increase access to undergraduate research.
