Applicants should be Forestry or biology students, with training provided as needed. This is a part-time, non-exempt student position with hands-on experience in forest genetics and laboratory

Position Summary:

Seeking a motivated student to assist with leaf phenotyping and processing, organizing laboratory equipment and supplies, labeling and maintaining leaf samples, and keeping accurate records of sample collection and measurements. This position provides hands-on experience in forest genetics, tree physiology, and laboratory research.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:

Forestry or biology student

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :

No prior experience is required. Students in Forestry, Plant Sciences, or related fields are preferred. Training will be provided.

Physical Demands:

The position involves a combination of sitting and standing while performing laboratory tasks, handling and organizing plant samples, and occasionally lifting materials weighing up to 8 lbs.
