Job summary

Cornell University’s Department of Romance Studies seeks an Undergraduate Coordinator to support its undergraduate programs in Romance languages and literature. This on-site role coordinates course scheduling, curriculum administration, and collaboration with faculty and department leadership to ensure smooth delivery of teaching activities.

The position is part-time (30 hours/week) in Ithaca, NY. We value strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and experience with office

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 2+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; strong written and oral communication.
• Attention to detail; able to proofread and review data.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to build inclusive relationships with students, faculty, staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the assignment and scheduling of courses and instructional responsibilities across Romance languages and literature.
• Support the administration and implementation of undergraduate curriculum and teaching programs.
• Collaborate with the Chair, Associate Chair, Director of Undergraduate Studies, and Administrative Manager to coordinate departmental teaching activities.
• Serve as a key point of coordination among faculty and department leadership regarding curriculum, course scheduling, and instructional needs.
• Organize and maintain information related to undergraduate courses, teaching assignments, and program administration.
