Harvard University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences seeks an Undergraduate Program Administrator for Archaeology and Social Anthropology to collaborate with the Director and colleagues. The role coordinates the undergraduate program and serves as Catalog Coordinator for the Department of Anthropology.

The Undergraduate Program Administrator works in collaboration with the Director of Undergraduate Studies, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies, and other academic members of the advisingteam for Archaeology and Social Anthropology. The Undergraduate Program Administrator also serves as Catalog Coordinator for theDepartment of Anthropology.
The Undergraduate Program Administrator establishes and implements procedures for ensure smooth functioning of the undergraduate program, comprising between approximately 40-60 students.
The Undergraduate Program Administrator establishes and implements procedures for accurate reporting on Department of Anthropology courses.
3+ years of experience in a higher education setting, withexperience in student services.
Bachelor's degree, experience working with students in a highereducation environment and experience using student informationsystems preferred. Experience at Harvard a plus. Must have superiororganizational skills and be able to handle multiple taskssimultaneously and meet deadlines in a busy, complex environmentwith competing priorities. Must have excellent written and verbalcommunication skills and possess impeccable attention to detail.Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and tocommunicate and work effectively with a range of personalities andstyles. Flexibility, adaptability and a "customer-service"orientation are essential. This position requires sound judgment,tact, maturity and poise, and the ability to handle highlyconfidential information with a high level of discretion. Must beproficient in standard office software, including Word, Excel,SharePoint, e-mail and calendar systems, and must be comfortablewith learning to use new software, both stand-alone andweb-based.
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders thatsome of the duties and responsibilities can be effectivelyperformed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and locationwill be set by the department at its discretion and based uponoperational needs. When not working at a Harvard orHarvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions mustwork in a Harvard registered state in compliance with theUniversity’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts .Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location.Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements priorto employment.
