Job summary

The Undergraduate Coordinator supports the day-to-day administration of the Mathematics Department’s Undergraduate Program at the University of Pennsylvania. The role coordinates courses, examinations, advising, student requests, events, communications, and program resources while working closely with faculty, staff, students, and University offices.

The Mathematics Department, part of Penn’s School of Arts and Sciences, offers a dynamic teaching and research environment on campus.

Qualifications

• High School Grad/GE Degree with 5–7 years experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service.
• Proficiency with standard office software and web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate undergraduate course scheduling, rostering, classroom requests, and related processes.
• Assign Mathematics majors and minors to faculty advisors and process student requests for course permits.
• Coordinate final examination and proctoring schedules, including accommodations and emergency testing.
• Respond to student inquiries by walk-in, telephone, and email and provide information on program policies, procedures, courses, and resources.
• Coordinate staffing, materials, room reservations, and communications for the Majors Fair and other events.
