The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking an Undergraduate Instruction Librarian to collaborate with colleagues to empower student success and faculty excellence. You will design scaffolded instruction, deliver information literacy sessions, and create digital learning resources that align with open education initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in library/information science and 1–2 years of teaching or instructional design experience, plus a track record of innovative academic

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library and/or information science from an ALA‑accredited program.
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience teaching or instructional design.
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience creating digital learning objects meeting accessibility guidelines.
• Track record of participation in or development of innovative academic literacy programs, especially using technology to enhance student learning and/or success.

Responsibilities

• Delivers essential library instruction and information literacy sessions and cultivates partnerships to integrate the Libraries’ services in curricula and research projects.
• Develops, designs, and creates scaffolded instructional content like workshops, presentations, and digital learning objects.
• Researches and implements best practices for designing online learning resources (modules, videos, guides).
• Contributes to standards for information literacy instruction and builds sustainable improvement processes.
• Uses data to strategize outreach and identify collaboration opportunities.
• Supports Outreach and Open Education & Research Mavericks teams in targeted outreach.
