Oakland University’s Plant/Vertebrate Molecular Biology Lab is seeking a motivated undergraduate student for Fall 2026 / Winter 2027. The lab uses PCR, RT-PCR, CRISPR-Cas9, mammalian cell culture, and RNAseq, working with plants and animals. Eligible only if you have a FEDERAL WORK-STUDY (FWS) award.

Hours are flexible to accommodate your class schedule, and the role offers hands-on research experience with data presentation opportunities at conferences.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student; FEDERAL WORK-STUDY (FWS) award for Fall 2026 / Winter 2027 is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lab cleanliness and organization.
• Prepare buffers, reagents, and other materials for experiments.
• Assist with molecular and genomics techniques while being trained.
• Support graduate students and the PI in routine laboratory experiments.
