Oakland University is seeking a motivated undergraduate student to join the Muscle Biology Lab as a Lab Assistant for the FALL 2026 / WINTER 2027 ACADEMIC YEAR. This position offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in a biomedical research environment, with flexible hours around your class schedule.
Responsibilities include maintaining lab cleanliness, preparing materials for experiments, and assisting with animal husbandry. Prior lab experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
The Muscle Biology Lab at Oakland University is seeking a motivated undergraduate student to join our team as a Lab Assistant for the FALL 2026 / WINTER 2027 ACADEMIC YEAR. Our lab uses a variety of molecular biology techniques, including genotyping, PCR, real-time PCR, Western blotting, Immunohistochemistry, muscle cell culture and animal work. Please note that you must have a FEDERAL WORK-STUDY (FWS) award to apply for this position.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a biomedical research environment. Hours are flexible based on your class schedule.
