Qualifications

• Major in plant sciences, biology, biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology, or a related field.
• Currently enrolled undergraduate student in good academic standing.
• Careful, detail-oriented approach to laboratory work and record keeping.
• Motivated, creative, and goal-driven, with a genuine interest in collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing plant tissue samples for microscopy.
• Capturing images using a range of microscopy methods and performing image analysis.
• Gene cloning and construct preparation.
• Biomass treatment for fiber extraction.
• Bioinformatic analysis of genomic and transcriptomic datasets.
• Plant cultivation, maintenance, and phenotyping.
• Recording and documenting results, and presenting findings at group meetings.
