Job summary

Texas Wesleyan University is seeking an Engage Studio Instructional Assistant Undergraduate to help students develop skills in writing, speaking, presenting, and multimodal design. You will collaborate with Co-Directors to plan, implement, and assess engagement strategies and attend trainings to strengthen instructional materials.

You will deliver sessions, develop outreach content, and lead tutorials while maintaining a professional, punctual presence on campus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student with GPA 3.0 or higher in major field of study.
• Faculty recommendation for content competencies in communication, rhetoric & composition, digital writing, teaching, and presentation design.
• Must have a class schedule permitting staffing hours for campus needs.

Responsibilities

• Meets with directors to plan, implement, and assess engagement strategies.
• Completes session plans, voiceover presentations, and documents for Engage Studio.
• Attends training sessions and engages in professional development activities.
• Facilitates tutorials and walk-in support sessions.
• Maintains punctual attendance and in-person hours at the Engage Studio.
• Participates in weekly meetings and staff trainings.
• Develops outreach materials and correspondence with faculty and staff.
• Delivers presentations promoting Engage Studio in classes.
• Web content development and data entry for Engage Studio website and assessment files.
