Job summary

Texas State University’s School of Music seeks an engaging guitar instructor for an undergraduate-focused, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Instruction position. The successful candidate will teach Guitar Class at all undergraduate levels and actively recruit students for enrollment.

You will supervise and mentor student/clinical teachers in field placements, perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of the School of Music, and collaborate with colleagues to support a diverse

Qualifications

• Master's degree in music or closely related field.
• At least three years of successful teaching experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in music education and program organization.
• Experience collaborating with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for all undergraduate levels of Guitar Class.
• Actively and successfully recruit for enrollment in all levels of Guitar Class.
• Supervise and mentor student/clinical teachers in field placements.
