Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Transit Overnight in Denver, CO. You will protect transit facilities and assist riders, staff, and visitors while patrolling, monitoring access points, and coordinating with emergency responders as needed.

This full-time role requires a minimum of security experience, basic computer skills, and adherence to site procedures. A valid license and background check are part of the employment process, with drug screening where permitted.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required; drug screen where permitted.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws; driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, transit policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle staging areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with crowd management during peak travel periods and special events, and report suspicious activity or unattended property according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with transit personnel and public emergency responders as directed.
• Document daily activities, incidents, observations, and policy violations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
