Job summary

Allied Universal in Canton, MA is seeking an Security Officer Unarmed Patrol to safeguard clients and provide excellent customer service. The role involves conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and using tablet tools to document activity. The position is full-time with a pay rate of $19.57 per hour. Typical shift patterns run overnight Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused business location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following escalation and reporting protocols.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating security observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
