Job summary

Allied Universal in Ruther Glen, VA is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Operations to protect clients across logistics and distribution sites. Qualifications

At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws.

Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution location, including the building interior, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying authorization and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity in accordance with site requirements.
Complete detailed activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
