Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Qualified Unarmed Patrol in Nashville, TN. You will protect clients across government and other facilities by patrolling, maintaining visibility, and delivering professional customer service while upholding site policies.

In this full-time role, you will work on an evening schedule, perform routine patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents calmly, and document activities accurately to support a safe environment for visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, access points, parking areas, and common spaces, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting irregularities in accordance with site policies.
• Complete required reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
