Job summary

Security Engineers, Inc. is hiring unarmed Security Officers for all shifts to safeguard client sites. Officers patrol, monitor access points, verify IDs and report incidents, ensuring safety and compliance with client policies.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, maintaining detailed logs, and providing professional customer service. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with an ASRB license if applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain a Valid ASRB License.

• 1+ year of verifiable Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience.
• 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience.

Responsibilities

2nd Shift: Sunday-Saturday (3PM-11PM)

3rd Shift: Sunday-Saturday(11PM-7AM)

Role Overview

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have or obtain a Valid ASRB License
• Must be at least 18 years old

Duties & Responsibilities

Patrol & Surveillance

• Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns
• Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials
• Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity

Incident Response & Reporting

• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol
• Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents
• Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)

Customer Service & Policy Enforcement

• Assist visitors and employees professionally
• Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols
• Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)

Required Skills & Abilities

Minimum

• Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Weekend availability
• Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations
• Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting

Preferred

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements (subject to change based on client-specific needs)

• Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break
• Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping
• Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping

Education & Experience

Minimum

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• 1+ Year of Verifiable Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience
• 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience
