Allied Universal in Milpitas, CA seeks a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Communications. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
