Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) in West Columbia, SC. You will conduct patrols, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors at a technology location.

The role requires completing reports, responding to incidents, and maintaining site security with integrity and professionalism. Full-time status with a schedule of afternoons/evenings. Must meet minimum experience and education requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed by site procedures, report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following escalation/reporting procedures.
• Prepare daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
