Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time - Unarmed in Columbia, SC. You will safeguard clients across multiple industries, performing routine patrols and providing excellent customer service in a visible security presence.

Requirements include at least 2 years of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Schedule includes day/evening shifts; pay is $18.50 per hour with benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
