Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Jonestown, PA to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other environments. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service.

The role emphasizes integrity, reliability, and teamwork in a dynamic workplace. Eligible candidates should meet minimum requirements and be prepared for a background check, drug screen, and state licensing where required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, stockrooms, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity at the location.
