Job summary

Prosegur in Buffalo, NY is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff on a full-time, 2nd shift. The role requires weekend availability and a NY security license.

You’ll perform patrols, observe and report hazards, and interact professionally with visitors. A HS diploma and at least 1 year of security experience are preferred, with reliable transportation and good communication.

Weekly pay at $19/hour and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• New York State Security License required.
• At least 1 year of security officer experience.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation and good communication skills.
• Able to stand or walk long periods and climb stairs daily.
• Reliable, positive attitude and ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
• Observe, report, and correct hazards.
• Follow client and post-specific requirements.
• Participate in training and follow general safety procedures.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
• Provide customer service and use basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Perform routine foot patrols and work in all weather as Unarmed Security Officer.

Hours: Full-Time

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have a New York State Security License
• Must have one (1) year of experience as a security officer
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have good communications skills
