Job summary

Prosegur seeks a dedicated Security Guard in New York for a full-time 3rd shift on weekends. You will monitor entrances, patrol premises, and enforce policies while delivering courteous service to employees and visitors. The role requires NYS Security Guard License, three years of security experience, and strong crisis judgment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance/exit of employees, visitors, and others to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Circulate among visitors and staff to preserve order and protect property.
• Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to prevent hazards, theft, or infractions.
• Enforce rules, respond to emergencies, assist customers and employees.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports.

Job Skills / Requirements

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
• Secure facility and designated areas
• Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have a valid Security Guard Licensefor NYS
• Must have one (1) year of experience as a security supervisor
• Must have 3 years of security experience
• Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have good communications skills
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods
• Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.
• Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior

Hourly wage: $21.63/h (weekly pay).

Schedule: Wed-Sun;

Weekend availability is a MUST.
