Job summary

Allied Universal® in Springfield, TN is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to protect personnel, visitors, and assets at a manufacturing and industrial site. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while delivering friendly, professional service.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and integrity. A guard card/license and a high school diploma are preferred, and the schedule is full-time with consistent afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain required access and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, and security‑related incidents according to site procedures, while supporting a professional environment for employees and visitors.
