Allied Universal in Des Moines, IA is seeking an unarmed Security Officer to monitor loading docks, verify access, and deter incidents at a busy logistics site. You will deliver courteous service, patrol assigned areas, and respond to alarms with calm, clear communication and teamwork.

Minimum requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing background and drug screening. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly pay and opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

Must be 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background investigation as a condition of employment.
Drug screen required by company policy.
Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site policies and emergency procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry/exit points, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts or responders.
Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications with professional presence.
