Security Solutions of America is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a weekend shift at a busy logistics center in McDonough, GA. The role focuses on access control, customer service, and incident response to ensure secure operations.

Position is part-time, 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) with pay at $17.50-$18.00 per hour. Candidates must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security or logistics experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and basic computer operations.
• Ability to commute to McDonough, GA and have reliable transportation.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Weekend availability required (Sat-Sun).

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the truck gate access for all vehicles and personnel.
• Support logistics operations including directing traffic and coordinating dock appointments.
• Operate and monitor CCTV to identify and report security breaches.
• Conduct regular security patrols to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide professional customer service to truck drivers, visitors, and staff.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed daily activity and incident logs.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Access Control: Manage and monitor the truck gate, verifying credentials for all incoming and outgoing vehicles and personnel.
• Logistics Operations: Understand and support the flow of a logistics environment, including directing traffic, managing dock appointments, and coordinating with logistics staff.
• CCTV Monitoring: Operate and monitor Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems to identify and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
• Security Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism.
• Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous assistance to truck drivers, visitors, and employees while enforcing security policies.
• Incident Response: Respond to alarms and emergency situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company and client safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security, access control, or a logistics environment preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and basic computer operations.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
