Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for full-time, unarmed patrol readiness in Santa Clara, CA. You will monitor access, patrol the facility, and provide customer service while upholding site policies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include reporting incidents, maintaining records, and responding to alarms with professionalism. A Guard Card is preferred, and background checks and drug screening are required by law.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, and critical tech areas to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and escalate per protocols.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of patrol observations and security activities.
