Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Foot Patrol in Richmond, VA. You will safeguard clients across government facilities, perform routine patrols, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Position type: Full Time. Schedule: Day shifts Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. You'll document activities, respond to incidents, and maintain professional communication with site personnel and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public at a government transportation facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, roadways, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing visitors and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity records while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and responding public agencies.
