Job summary

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for daytime shifts in Pasadena. The role requires strong English communication, customer service orientation, and the ability to meet physical requirements for security duties. Salary ranges from $22.25 to $22.75 per hour. Applicants must be at least 21 and able to pass background checks, drug screening, and licensing where required.

Qualifications

• Capable of handling the physical requirements and responding to emergencies.
• Must be at least 21 years old; USA only.
• Read, write and converse clearly in English.
• Customer focused with good telephone skills.
• Maintain hygiene and neat appearance.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Complete state certification and licensing as required.
• Pass initial drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check as appropriate.
• Be a certified Fire Guard, if applicable.
• Possess or obtain Fire Safety Director certification if required.
• Minimum one year as Security Officer; military or law enforcement experience acceptable as substitute.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard bank personnel, assets and property.
• Identify authorized personnel entering buildings or departments.
• Screen visitors, contractors, vendors, and couriers for authorization.
• Ensure passes or other authorization accompany personnel leaving with equipment or packages.
• Respond to emergencies within the assigned area and take actions as directed.
• Enforce post orders and comply with general orders.
• Assist customers, employees, visitors and responders as required.
• Patrol bank premises.
• Perform duties of Fire Guard or Fire Safety Director as needed.
• Prepare incident reports detailing actions taken.
