Ontario Trillium Foundation in Le Mars, Iowa seeks reliable, observant Unarmed Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors onsite. You will perform patrols, monitor entry points, log activities, respond to alarms or incidents, and coordinate with local authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for vehicle patrols).
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and operate a motor vehicle safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility foot patrols and interact with employees and visitors; log visitors in and out and submit daily activity logs.
• Perform multi-facility patrols using company vehicles and on foot; ensure areas are secure.
• Monitor premises to deter theft, violence, or rule infractions and report suspicious activity.
• Provide a safe environment by monitoring entry points and assisting with safety escorts when needed.
• Respond as a first responder to alarms, medical emergencies, or safety hazards; coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and compose detailed incident reports for management.
