Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time in Staten Island, NY to serve and safeguard clients in government and other sectors. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver outstanding customer service to employees and visitors.

Qualified candidates will have a NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; drug screen as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal buildings, boarding areas, docks, access points, and surrounding perimeters.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner and follow post orders and notification procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and patrol reports and communicate information to leadership and site representatives.
