Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Staten Island, NY. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts and increase earnings while maintaining a part-time schedule.

Pay rate is $35.44 per hour, with day-time shifts 08:00–16:30. The position requires at least 1 year of security experience, high school diploma, and the ability to obtain firearms qualifications and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Armed roles require 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government office location by following site procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, service areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas, to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures in accordance with site policies and applicable laws.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activity as required.
• Maintain required firearm qualifications, carry authorized equipment, and complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
