Coastal Security Services, Inc. (CSSI) is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for client sites in Fairfax, SC and the surrounding area. Posts include industrial and commercial sites across the region.

Sites run 24/7/365 with 8- or 12-hour shifts; full-time and part-time schedules are available. Pay is $16.00 per hour for unarmed posts, with overtime at 1.5x. Clear background check, SLED registration, and driver’s license required.

Qualificações

• Ability to obtain SC SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration under CSSI
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to stand, walk, and patrol for a full shift
• Clear verbal and written communication

Responsabilidades

• Control access at gates and entry points; verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to incidents and alarms
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, daily activity reports, and incident reports
• Observe and report safety hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity
• Serve as the professional first point of contact for everyone entering the property

Coastal Security Services, Inc. (CSSI) has provided professional security across South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida since 2006. We staff hospitals, K-12 schools, gated residential communities, industrial sites, and major events.

About the Role

We are hiring Unarmed Security Officers for client sites in Fairfax, SC and the surrounding area. Posts include industrial and commercial sites.

This is a standing posting. We hire continuously across our sites in this area, not for one opening. Apply once. If you clear screening, you are placed as soon as a post fits your license, location, and availability. Cleared candidates who are not placed right away stay on file and hear from us first when the next post opens.

What You Will Do

• Control access at gates and entry points; verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to incidents and alarms
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, daily activity reports, and incident reports
• Observe and report safety hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity
• Serve as the professional first point of contact for everyone entering the property

Schedule

Our sites run 24/7/365. Shift length and rotation vary by post (8-hour and 12-hour shifts, days, evenings, and overnights) and most posts require weekend availability. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Pay

CSSI uses post-based pay: your hourly rate is set by the site you are assigned to. Unarmed posts in this area pay $16.00 per hour. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40 in a work week.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain SC SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration under CSSI
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to stand, walk, and patrol for a full shift
• Clear verbal and written communication

Preferred

• Prior security experience
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
• Industrial, residential, or commercial security experience
• Prior military or law enforcement service
