Coastal Security Services, Inc. (CSSI) hires Unarmed Security Officers for client sites across Beaufort County, including Bluffton, Hilton Head Island and Beaufort, with placement at hospitals, gated communities, or commercial sites.

Roles run 24/7 with 8- and 12-hour shifts; full-time and part-time openings occur regularly. Pay starts at $18.00 per hour for Unarmed posts in the area, with overtime at 1.5x for hours over 40 per week.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain SC SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration under CSSI.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to stand, walk, and patrol for a full shift.
• Clear verbal and written communication.

• Control access at gates, lobbies, and entry points; verify credentials and manage visitors.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies.
• De-escalate disruptive situations and coordinate with site staff and local law enforcement.
• Write accurate daily activity reports and incident reports in our mobile reporting system.
• Represent the client and CSSI with a professional appearance and attitude on every shift.

About the Role

We are hiring Unarmed Security Officers for client sites across Beaufort County, including Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, and Beaufort, and nearby Hardeeville. Depending on your availability and experience you will be placed at a hospital campus or emergency department, a gated residential community, a commercial or industrial site, or on our Flex team that covers several of them.

This is a standing posting. We hire continuously across our sites in this area, not for one opening. Apply once. If you clear screening, you are placed as soon as a post fits your license, location, and availability. Cleared candidates who are not placed right away stay on file and hear from us first when the next post opens. Full-time and part-time positions are regularly available.

What You Will Do

Schedule

Our sites run 24/7/365. Shift length and rotation vary by post (8-hour and 12-hour shifts, days, evenings, and overnights). Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Weekend availability is required for most posts.

Pay

CSSI uses post-based pay: your hourly rate is set by the site you are assigned to. Unarmed posts in this area start at $18.00 per hour, with higher rates at select sites. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40 in a work week.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain SC SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration under CSSI
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to stand, walk, and patrol for a full shift
• Clear verbal and written communication

Preferred

• Current or prior SC Security Officer Registration
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
• Hospital, residential, or commercial security experience
• Prior military or law enforcement service
