Job summary

Allied Universal in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol to safeguard client facilities across Retail/Malls and other sectors. The role involves routine unarmed patrols, visible presence, and delivering excellent customer service while following site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor access, respond to incidents, and maintain accurate incident documentation.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution center, loading areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, vendors, contractors, and drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
