Location: Lynnhaven area of Virginia Beach

• Control Desk Officer (Day-Shift)
• Quantity: 2
• Availability: Friday-Thursday, 7-days open availability for 12-hour shifts, A/C shift 6am-6pm, rotating between 36 and 48 hours every other week. (A) week is 4 days on, 3 days off. (C) week is 3 days on, 4 days off.
• Control Desk Officer (Night-Shift)
• Quantity: 2
• Availability: Friday-Thursday, 7-days open availability for 12-hour shifts, B/D shift 6pm-6am, rotating between 36 and 48 hours every other week. (B) week is 4 days on, 3 days off. (D) week is 3 days on, 4 days off.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor all access control (e.g. door and gate access) devices via Genetec.
• Monitor all surveillance cameras to detect unauthorized actions, theft, damage, and/or illegal activities.
• Monitor all inbound requests via email or phone calls.
• Monitor alarm systems (e.g. fire and burglary).
• Investigate security breaches or unusual occurrences promptly, document findings, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate responses to incidents as well as provide updated information as it becomes available.
• Report activities and incidents to supervisors, management, and clients, ensuring all actions are logged as per company requirements.
• Communicate with emergency services (e.g., police, fire, ambulance) when necessary to coordinate and facilitate effective responses.
• Assist employees and visitors with security-related concerns.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Must have a clean driving record, and have either military, law enforcement, or corrections background, or at least 1 year security experience.

Specifications:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of security experience.
• Proficiency in Genetec access control and surveillance systems.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication.
• Strong observational and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in high-pressure environments.
• Knowledgeable in emergency response protocols.
• Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Private Security Certification or willingness to be trained in the use of pepper spray, tasers, and handcuffs through a certified training program.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to complete a training program with a certified instructor.
• Prior experience in law enforcement or security services is preferred.

This site has a bonus incentive program where you could receive a perfect attendance bonus quarterly, monthly merit bonuses, officer of the month bonuses, and officer of the year bonuses, ranging from $25 to $300.
