Job summary

Allied Universal in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Site Patrol to monitor designated areas at a construction and industrial site, maintain a visible presence, and provide courteous customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

This full-time role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, and candidates should be at least 18 years old. Background checks and drug screening are standard, with licensing preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a construction and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the construction site, buildings, perimeter, parking areas, and equipment storage areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, vendors, and vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and communicate relevant information to incoming personnel and site representatives.
