Job summary

NC Protection Group seeks an Unarmed Security Officer to protect a manufacturing facility in Durham, NC. You will rotate through posts, manage access, conduct screenings, and provide vigilant patrols while enforcing site policies with professionalism.

Ideal candidates maintain strong observation, communication, and reporting skills, and deliver customer-focused service to employees, visitors, and contractors. Shifts include 12-hour cycles with varied days. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and active security registration/license where applicable.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong observation and reporting skills; customer-service oriented interactions with employees, visitors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Staff main entry/exit points and control access for personnel, visitors, and vendors.
• Conduct weapons and IP screening to prevent prohibited items and protect sensitive information.
• Perform regular roving patrols, monitor security systems, and report safety concerns.
• Enforce company policies, maintain professional presence in uniform, and coordinate with site management and responders.
