Job summary

Rosina Food Products is looking for a Security Officer for the 2nd shift (Thu-Mon, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) at our New York facility. You will control access, monitor the site, log visitors and vehicles, answer after-hours calls, and respond to incidents to maintain a secure operation.

Required are 6 months to 1 year of relevant security experience; New York State Certification preferred. Strong reading of safety rules, basic computer skills, and fluency in English are essential for this on-site role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Control access to facilities and log visitors and escorts.
• Monitor and log vehicle traffic entering and exiting.
• Answer and direct phone calls after business hours.
• Perform patrol rounds for safety and security compliance.
• Assist with emergencies and contact appropriate agencies.
• Operate and monitor video surveillance systems and logs.
• Verify deliveries and log details into MMS.
• Open or close the facility, including alarm procedures.

• Answer and direct phone calls after business hours, handling inquiries as needed.
• Perform patrol rounds to ensure security and safety compliance.
• Assist with emergency responses and contact appropriate agencies as required.
• Operate and monitor video surveillance systems and maintain activity logs.
• Verify truck/trailer deliveries and log details into the MMS system.
• Open or close the facility as needed, including alarm and keypad procedures.

Qualifications:

• Six months to 1 year of relevant experience; New York State Certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in English are required.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, reach, and communicate.
• Must occasionally walk and lift/move up to 20 pounds.
• Work environment noise level is moderate.

2nd Shift

• Schedule: Thursday-Monday
• Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Pay: $20.00/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential
