Job summary

Coastal Security Services, Inc. is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for client sites across Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Beaufort, Hardeeville, and the Charleston area.

You will monitor entrances, verify credentials, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents at hospitals, schools, gated communities, and commercial sites. This standing posting means you may be placed as posts fit your license and availability.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older or older.
• Ability to obtain SC SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration under CSSI.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to stand, walk, and patrol for full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Control access at gates, lobbies, and entry points; verify credentials and manage visitors.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies.
• De-escalate disruptive situations and coordinate with site staff and local law enforcement.
• Write accurate daily activity reports and incident reports in our mobile reporting system.
• Represent the client and CSSI with a professional appearance and attitude on every shift.
