Job summary

St. Moritz Security Services is seeking an motivated Unarmed Security Officer for the New Jersey Regional Office in Dayton, NJ. The role focuses on observing, reporting, and maintaining safety at assigned sites.

You will patrol on foot or vehicle as required, enforce post orders, complete detailed reports, and provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors. A NJ security license and HS diploma are required; prior security or related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NJ security license/registration.
• 1-3 years of professional experience preferred.
• Security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience highly desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write clear and concise reports.
• Professional demeanor and good judgment.
• Reliable transportation or access to public transportation.
• Must successfully complete required background screening and drug/alcohol testing, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report suspicious activity, security threats, safety hazards, and emergencies.
• Enforce site-specific post orders, rules, policies, and procedures.
• Write clear, accurate, and detailed incident and daily activity reports.

• Follow site-specific emergency procedures and company policies.
• Complete required training and maintain acceptable attendance.
• Perform other security duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Location: Dayton, NJ

2 Available Schedules:

Monday-Friday | 8:00AM-4:00PM

Monday-Friday | 3:45pm-12:45am

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Primary Purpose and Function

The Security Officer is responsible for providing security services at assigned locations with a focus on observing and reporting. Duties include, but are not limited to monitoring and reporting all activity, conducting foot patrols and/or vehicular patrols, depending on exterior areas; reporting suspicious activities, suspicious persons, writing detailed narrative reports, maintaining daily activity reports (DAR’s), enforcing post orders, site rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and responding to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
