Job summary

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for the New Jersey Regional Office in Secaucus.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and pays $19 per hour. You will monitor assigned locations, observe and report activity, perform foot or vehicle patrols as needed, and enforce post orders and site rules. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid NJ security license, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and strong report writing.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NJ security license/registration is required.
• 1–3 years of security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write clear and concise reports.
• Professional demeanor and good judgment.
• Reliable transportation or access to public transportation.
• Must successfully complete background screening and drug/alcohol testing where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot and/or vehicular patrols as assigned.
• Identify and report security threats, suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, and hazards.
• Enforce site-specific post orders, rules, policies, and procedures.
• Write clear, accurate, and detailed incident and daily activity reports.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies as needed.
• Provide customer service and support as directed.
• Maintain awareness of site-specific emergency procedures.
• Complete required training and follow company procedures.
• Perform other security duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Primary Purpose and Function

The Security Officer is responsible for providing security services at assigned locations with a focus on observing and reporting. Duties include, but are not limited to monitoring and reporting all activity, conducting foot patrols and/or vehicular patrols, depending on exterior areas; reporting suspicious activities, suspicious persons, writing detailed narrative reports, maintaining daily activity reports (DAR's), enforcing post orders, site rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and responding to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
