Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in New York to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff and to handle general security duties. You will observe hazards, report incidents, and ensure compliance with client requirements, while delivering professional service.

You must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid NYS Security License, and be available for overnight shifts. Compensation is hourly, with weekly pay, and opportunities to cover multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Must have a valid NYS Security License.
• Overnight availability and ability to work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
• Observe, correct, and report hazards to promote safety.
• Follow Prosegur and client requirements and post instructions.
• Participate in training and learn general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees and the public professionally.
• Perform routine foot patrols and basic lifting; work in all weather.
• Be adaptable to schedule changes and cover multiple locations.
• Possess customer service orientation and basic to intermediate computer skills.

Job Skills / Requirements

Duties and responsibilities :

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
• Train in multiple locations and cover when needed.
• Be adaptable to schedule changes
• Have availability to work more than two shifts to cover where the operator needs you to be scheduled depending on coverage needs.

Qualifications:

• 21+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must have a valid NYS Security License
• Must have overnight availability
• Capable of following complex instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures

Schedule: Flex On-call

08:00am - 16:00pm,16:00pm - 00:00am , 00:00am - 08:00am

(Weekend and Weekdays Availability)

Hourly Pay: $23.56 ( Weekly Pay )
