Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for flex guarding. The role involves maintaining a safe environment, observing hazards, and reporting them while delivering professional client service. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and strong English communication.

You must be able to work weekends, perform patrols, and adapt to multiple sites. This position emphasizes customer service, basic computer use, and adherence to SOPs and site rules.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capable of following complex instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• Be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, with effective written and oral communication.
• Perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
• Respond to calls from the operator requesting a shift to be covered with little to no notice.
• Cross-train in various locations for coverage and learn different SOPs and site instructions.

Physical Requirements: This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1-2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
